Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won the Emmy Award. Her credits include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney has a father who was an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. When she was a little girl, Delaney hoped to become a reporter for the court. In highschool the time came when she began modeling for commercials, and later after moving to New York. Her first film role was as a teenager as a child in All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Her career as an actor has been awash by a myriad of TV films and dramas. In contrast to her career success, her personal life is not successful and happy. She is skilled and gorgeous, has struggled with addiction to alcohol in the past. Her marriages have also been unsuccessful two times. In 2005 her custody was removed from her.
